About Augmented Studio

Who we are

Augmented Studio GmbH is a software company in Winterthur, Switzerland, founded in 2026. We are AI-native: we use AI models wherever they help. We have a human philosophy: the software we build makes an organisation's own people and systems stronger, instead of replacing them.

What we do

  • Software development. We design, build, and maintain software for organisations: tools, integrations, and full applications. We also develop and license our own products.
  • Integration and consulting. We connect software to what an organisation already has: identity, storage, networks, and policy. We advise on introducing AI in a way that keeps the experts in charge.
  • Training. Workshops and courses so that an organisation's own staff can use, adapt, and extend their software without depending on us.
  • An open platform. We develop and operate an open-source platform where domain experts build and share their own digital solutions.
  • A marketplace. A place where solutions built by experts can be shared with other experts and organisations.

How we think

The common story about AI is that it replaces experts. We think that story misunderstands what an expert is. An expert knows what a good result looks like, knows how to get there, and takes responsibility for it. Software should extend that ability, not take it over. The full argument is in the essay augmented actualisation.

Who we work with

Organisations that have experts and existing infrastructure and want to keep both: universities, public institutions, and companies whose value lies in what their people know. We work with the people who approve tools (IT security, legal, procurement) as well as the people who use them.

Studio

Studio is our open-source platform for domain experts. It is one way we put our ideas into software. Product information and access are at studio.augmentedstudio.ch.
