Augmented Studio GmbH

An AI-native software company
with a human philosophy

We build software that makes an organisation's own people and systems stronger, instead of replacing them. Development, integration, and training.

What we do

We are a software company. Four things we do for organisations.

01

Software development

We design, build, and maintain software for organisations: tools, integrations, and full applications.

02

Integration and consulting

We connect software to what an organisation already has: identity, storage, networks, and policy. We advise on introducing AI in a way that keeps the experts in charge.

03

Training

Workshops and courses so that an organisation's own staff can use, adapt, and extend their software without depending on us.

04

Products

We develop and license our own software. Studio, our open-source platform for domain experts, is one of them.

How we build

Six rules that apply to every project, whether it uses AI or not.

  1. 01

The user holds the design decisions.

The people doing the work can see how the software works and change it.

  2. 02

    We build inside the organisation.

On its own servers, connected to its login system, following its security and data protection rules.

  3. 03

    Open formats and open interfaces.

Markdown, JSON, CSV, and open APIs. Every part can talk to every other part.

  4. 04

    No black boxes.

Whether a step uses an AI model or a fixed rule, the user can see what it does, check the result partway through, and adjust it.

  5. 05

AI is a component, not the foundation.

Models can be swapped, limited, or removed. Nothing depends on one provider. No data goes to a model unless the organisation has decided it should.

  6. 06

    Knowledge stays with the people.

The rules, the data, and the results belong to the people who put them in. When we leave, everything keeps working.

Why we build this way

The common story about AI is that it replaces experts. We think that story misunderstands what an expert is. An expert knows what a good result looks like, knows how to get there, and takes responsibility for it. A model does none of these things. Software should extend that ability, not take it over. We call this augmented actualisation.
